As most of the local patrons know, the Eagles Nest has experienced many eras. Built in 1937, it is a landmark overlooking York with its breathtaking view and warm atmosphere. Needless to say, "The Eagles Nest lives on!"
The nest always used to be known for its spectacular scenery and "All you can eat seafood". Unfortunately, this era came to an end, but new opportunities were right around the corner
Vacant for almost three years, owner Hristos Kopanis purchased the Eagles Nest while operating The Starlite Diner in West York, PA. While running the diner, Hristos made tremendous renovations to the Eagles Nest for three years. As renovations neared to completion, Hristos sold the Starlite in May of 2008.
With great anticipation, people countinued to walk into the restaurant wondering if it had opened. This went on all summer. Finally, on September 3rd, 2008, the Eagles Nest officially opened for business. Then business boomed!
